Education

Educating member users and the community of the benefits associated with the utilisation of iron and steel slags represents one of the ASA’s core undertakings. More specifically, the Association is guided towards the achievement of the following education objectives:

  • To identify, engage and educate key influencers about the environmental and technical merits of iron and steel slag usage
  • Promote the use of recovered resources (co-products) leading to the preservation of limited natural resources
  • Promote the offsets to greenhouse gases emissions, resulting from the use of ISS

In striving towards these goals, the Association has undertaken and continues to undertake various programs, consultations and initiatives centred around the development of these core objectives.
