There is now considerably more data available on the performance of slag based road materials to the extent that slag materials and blends are now considered to be a premium road base material and stabilizing binder by many experienced users. This guide gives a current, broad appreciation of the many uses for iron and steel slag products in the construction and maintenance of roads, including pavement materials, wearing surfaces and concrete.

The purpose of this guide is to provide information of the use of road materials incorporating slag to designers, specifiers, and users of road materials. Copies are available to members at a cost of $10.00 each, non-members $15.00, plus postage and handling.
