The 6th Global Slag Conference took place in Sydney.
As well as attracting representatives from the iron and steel industries in Australia, New Zealand and from around Asia and beyond, the conference also appealed to cement and construction industry personnel who have an interest in increased use of slag and slag-derived products. As always, the level of technical presentations were high. The conference provided a range of networking opportunities, including a Gala Dinner held at the Sydney Opera House. Attendees were expected from over 35 countries, with representatives from Australasia, Asia, India, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and North and South America.
