ASCP PRESIDENT HANDOVER & HONARARY MEMBERSHIP

The ASCP has announced that President, Todd Myers, has officially been succeeded by Justin Moss at the 5th ASCP Conference. Mr. Myers was described as an "intense, detailed and practical engineer with a depth of knowledge in both concrete and concrete pavements".

Mr. Myers is an accomplished and influential voice in the concrete pavements industry. His influence on the organisation was immense and his efforts greatly appreciated. The ASCP ended the conference by awarding Mr. Myers with an Honorary Membership!


ASCP 5TH CONFERENCE REPORT

The 2019 Conference Program of Events comprised of the following:

21st July - Welcome Reception on the Merlot Terrace, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley

22nd & 23rd July - Two-day Conference Program (2 concurrent streams)

22nd & 23rd July - Two-day Conference Exhibition

22nd July - Conference Dinner in the Merlot Room at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley

23rd July - Meeting with ISCP Directors

24th July - Post Conference Workshops

The conference saw over 150 Delegates (including 16 internationals) attend the conference. It proved to be a success, with 95% of attendees rating the conference 'Good or Excellent' according to a post-conference suvery conducted by the ASCP. INAUGURAL ED HABER AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE GOES TO BRUCE PERRY

The Ed Haber Award is awarded to the paper that has made the best contribution to the knowledge and advancement of pavement concrete technology. It was presented to Bruce Perry at the ASCP Brisbane Mr. Perry's paper was on "Features, benefits and challenges of air-entrained pavement concrete mixes using fly ash".
